Hey guys, I'm another Toronto member and I am almost ready to buy my mazda 3. It will be a 4 door GS model with power and sport packages. I guess that is everything right before the GT model. I will also be getting it in titanium. I went to the dealership and the guy quoted me around 25,000 for it... I have been doing a lot of research and from most of what I've been reading, I shouldn't pay more than 250-500 over invoice price. After doing a few calculations from invoice prices on the GT models, I have arrived at a price of 18,500-19,000 for invoice before taxes on the model I want. I guess after the dust settles this would be around 22,500-23,000 CAN. Can anyone tell me if I'm in the right ballpark here and also if it sounds like a good deal to them? The reason I'm not going all out and buying a GT w/ GFX and stuff is because I'd rather save the money on insurance w/ the smaller engine, and also buy a really nice sound system cause I'm a car audio freak ^_^. All input would be greatly appreciated, and so would recommendations. Take care guys, hope you can see me in my new 3 ASAP.

Hey,

I was thinking of buying the same thing... I'm in the process of doing the research for it right now... for the GS with PP/SP in titanium and I'm looking at it to be around 23500... I was hoping to get it without the SP for around 22,000$.... I'll let you know what the dealership says.

I will be waiting to hear to see the price you can get , and if you do get a good price like that, please let me know where!

The car audio question: I was talking to the sales rep and also to my engineering friend and they both said it is possible to leave the stock hu in and throw in an amp, sub and new speakers. I plan on doing this for now because I actually don't mind the stock look. If I get some extra money in the future, I might get a custom job set up and cut out the dash and throw in a touch screen powered by a CPU in the glove compartment so I can basically do anything in my car (Even internet if I have the money haha).

Keep comin with the responses guys I want to make sure I'm gettin the best bang for my buck!! >.<

that is exactely what i did. there will be a kit available for the HU it will just take some time, it sounds great with the setup i have now, so i'm in no hurry to replace the HU at all.

Hey awesome man ^^;

I am really not in any rush to change the HU right now, I am just really focused on getting a nice custom fibreglass enclosure, a really sick sub (or 2) a powerful amp and a good set of speakers. My last car's audio system was pretty half-assed so I can't wait to do this one right. Can't wait to get my car so I can drill you with car audio questions hahaha.

Maybe you'll let me check out your car sometime if you got the time~

How did you guys go about getting the sub and amp in? I have a sub and amp at home that I would like to put in... but I thought there was no pre-outs in the stock stereo...

let me know how this goes?

As for the price, I'll be finding out in a week or two and I live in Manitoba... so if you can wait that long, I'll let you know.
