<div align="left">Okay let me make sure I got the key points (no pun intended). Please let me know if any of the facts are off.
-you bought the car with one key/one remote -the dealer gave you a second of each and both were programmed in without incident for a total of two keys/remotes -the dealer found the original ones and sent them to you. Now you have three keys/remotes. -the key worked (without programming?) but the remote didn't -You programmed the remote back in, and all three remotes worked for several days -spontaneously all of the remotes stopped working and you can't program any back in If I have that all right at this point then I'll jump right in. First off the key they sent you shouldn't have worked without programming. Every time you program in remotes or keys you have to program in all the remotes/keys you want to work. Any previously programmed remote/key that you don't program back in at the time you add something becomes unprogrammed. There's something a little fishy in that unless the dealer specifically left that key code in the ECU when they programmed in your "replacement" key, or they had it at that time and just didn't give it to you. To that end if you programmed in the third remote and didn't also program in the other remotes at the same time then the other two would be invalidated. Second if all three of your remotes did work and then spontaneously stopped working I'm lead to believe that it's not a problem with the remotes themselves, but a problem with either the KEU or the ignition switch. By chance does your car continue to make the "key in ignition" chime when the doors are open and there isn't a key in the ignition? If so then the ignition cylinder went bad and is telling the car there's a key in when there isn't, and on the 3 the keyless entry doesn't work when there's a key in. Third, that's all I can think of right now, but let me know if I have the details correct and we'll go from there. If we can't figure it out then definitely go to the dealer since it's under warranty. |

Well... UPDATE: Yesterday evening I was out messing around my vehicles and decided I'd try programming the remotes once again. For some odd reason it worked like a charm. All three remotes (along with the keys) work correctly now. Before the car wasn't responding like it should after opening/shutting the door three times in the steps. This time it did. I happened to have all three sets of keys handy and was able to do all three remotes without a problem. This isn't to say that tomorrow they'll continue to work. I had called the dealership and was going to take it in this afternoon for a look -- they had told me to bring all three sets of keys and remotes. I'm wondering if I didn't botch something and the car had a defense mechanism that was preventing me from programming the remotes -- and then after a certain amount of time the defense went down? I haven't tried to program the remotes again for about 48 hours. So I'm going to save myself the trip to the dealership because it's about 150 miles... If it happens again I'll take it for a look.
