yea im new here obviously i have a 2006 mazda 3 A/T and i would like to know how to disassemble the center console exposing the shifter area.... all help appreciated thanx!

-set e-brake
-open armrest compartment
-grab front edge of compartment and pull up to remove the cupholder section (held by tension clips)
-If MTX unscrew shift knob
-grab shifter surround and pull up to remove (held by tension clips)
-Viola!

I bought the shift surround off of a Speed3 and put it in my ATX 3. I love the look. I've also found that popping up the console provides a nice little hiding spot for random crap. hahaha
