<div align="left">Here's what you need to do to remove the center console/armrest section.

-set the ebrake
-open the arm rest
-grab the front edge of the armrest compt. and pull upwards to release the tension clips holding the cupholder section (the gear shift surround may stay connected but it can be popped loose of the cup holders
-(MTX ONLY) unscrew and remove shift knob
-grab the plastic gear shift surround and pull up to release tension clips
-unscrew two phillips head screws located below ashtray compt (they were hidden by the gear shift surround)
-remove the lighter from the socket
-Grab the ashtray/lighter section an pull firmly towards the back of the car. It's easier if you put your right thumb into the lighter socket, so make sure the car is off. Either disconnect the lightbulbs/plugs or just set it to the side
-remove the two bolts at the bottom of the armrest compt.
-remove the bolts on the inside of front of the center console (they were hidden by the lighter section)
-Grab the entire center console and lift upwards and back. It's a little tricky maneuvering it around but you can get it out of the car.
-The back section is held on by a bunch of clips and can be removed by very careful prying..... really it's a PITA

Reinstall in reverse order.
