HI Guys, I want to install my new Ipod Kit by myself, but I do not know the correct instructions to remove the radio console. Could you give me a hand? Pictures, tricks, thanks a lot.

I dont have access to YOUTUBE here at work but I downloaded a 2 part "How to install a amplifier on Mazda 3". It shows the removal of the radio and installation of a Hi in Low out signal converter for a power amp. The video was nice because it shows how to remove the dash trim without breaking it..

Just search and you will find it.

I think the first think you need to do is pop-off the "wooden" trim running along the dashboard. Not sure though.

The quick answer is the long trim around the display comes off 1st. Pop the clips off in the middle and work your way torwards the display. Then slide the far end out torwards the drivers side. There is a tab on the far end you dont want to break.

The radio its self comes out with a simple 2 screws exposed nicely at that point..

Hmm. The youtube video is crap. You cant see anything. It's waaaay to dark. Other viewers reported the same. Nice commentary though.

Based on the written text and directions so far, it's still not clear to me how to remove the trim without breaking it. How do u pop the clips? How do you go to the right side and unhook the trim without the clips on the left not breaking? And what about reinistalling the trims and re-hooking it? How would you do that?

The above thought is smart and doesn’t require any further addition. It’s perfect thought from my side.
