Just got my new set of LED angle eyes from Umnitza. These angel eyes are AWESOME! They are very bright. Brighter than the CCFL when compared side to side, these can act as daytime running lights even under direct sunlight. It gives the headlight an updated look.
The color temperature is 6000k, giving it cool white rings for everyone to look at.

Angel eyes only:

Everything on:

Those are COOL!! I've been waiting for someone to offer a good LED vs. CCFL angel eye.
Was the installation about the same? Do they tape on or glue in?
I'll also be curious to know how they stand the test-of-time... always a problem w/aftermarket CCFL's.

Richard,

AFAIK they install the same was as the previous generation raptors..... which is to say you can use double-sided adhesive, silicone, glue/epoxy, etc. I know some people who have installed multiple sets of the old ones refuse to use the included tape as it frequently peels off the lights.

And as to durability with aftermarket CCFL's these aren't CCFL. They're LED. :P

I know these are LED, but that doesn't mean that they may not suffer their own issues. Perhaps not premature burn-out of CCFL's though.
LEDs should be able to take more punishment than the fluorescents will.
I suspected the install was the same, but wanted to know.
And yes, I would likely use clear silicone, or 3M gray tape over the included (and cheap) double sided tape most of these kits seem to come with.

I recently replaced the clear tape that came w/the WeatherTech window visors I installed on my wife's Vibe w/3M gray tape due to the rear visors "slipping." I was afraid they would blow off and be broken or lost @ speed. The fronts are pressure fit and don't use tape. So far, so good. A MUCH cleaner install than Vent Visor style tape ons, but I could've hoped for a better adhesive, especially w/what they cost. (Twice as much as Vent Visors.) If only they (WeatherTech) offered them for the 3 series....?

They should last quite long due to the LEDs. They tested the unit in water along with a impact test using a hammer. The install process is pretty much the same as the CCFL.
