Was just quoted around $1,300 in labor alone to fix this and another $185 for the part assuming its the resistor that's causing my issues. My car btw is a 04 Mazda 3 sedan. Has anyone had this replaced before and can tell me if this was around the same amount? My jaw almost hit the floor when i was told the price. I just couldn't believe it cost me the more to fix the freaking air conditioner than it did to drop a new tranny in my 86 Beretta. I did some research on the procedure and the manual called for 4.2 hours of work. When i asked them about it they said that was way off and it would take at least 8. Any other advice you could give would be appreciated as well.
