Mazda 3 Thermostat overhaul

Hi I'm Jeremy from Australia.

I own a '98 FD3s RX-7 (Aus spec) and the other half has a 11/07 Mazda 3 2.0lt entry model (Aus spec).

I have done a search on here for information to change the thermostat as after removing the undertray and draining the coolant it looks pretty tight to get the 3 bolts/nuts off because of the intake manifold but turned up nothing.

I'm after real assistance from people who know a thread that has the removal information or has done it.

I read a thread somewhere where guys were assuming it was a conventional removal process of removing 2 bolts/nuts and the hose... It's not...
