that is what the millenia was, but it didnt sell very well.* mazda would have to make the vehicle much better than the millenia, but keep the pricing about the same

Did you note where I said "rear-drive"? The Millenia, I think, failed because people didn't take a front-driver seriously on a performance basis at that point. I would argue that they still don't, which is why cars like the Maxima and (old) RL haven't exactly flown off the showroom floors.

Make it more of a replacement for the 929, with the styling of the Millenia (updated, of course), and I think we'll have something.

Current mods: Tint (20%), clear front corners, LED signals and tails, Silverstar headlamps, Clutch Masters clutch kit, Pioneer MP3 deck and speakers, wood-look dash trim, custom intake
Upcoming mods: Front strut brace (soon), Eibach springs and new struts (sooner)
Planned mods: Sports brakes, new exhaust, 18-inch OZ rims, factory fog lamps, short-shift kit

I am definitely not a "one-monther."

If they can keep the weight down, make it RWD and fun to drive... I'm a subscriber!

ya think that RWD will definately be a good change if its gonna be a luxury or near-luxury sedan. Look at all the other luxury sport sedans, the're all RWD. and 2009?? wow, that a long time. my milly will be 11 years old then. has anyone seen a concept or any kind of image of it??

I think so far, it exists mostly in the heads of MW readers.

i havent seen a picture, but i do remember someone saying something about it on this site about 6 months ago. i would use shaayan's wonderful search feature, but i would assume "mazda 9" would bring up approximately 1000 different entries.

yes the serach sux, but i found this russian website http://news.spbland.ru/i/4963/ great if you can read russian :P. but for thsoe that cant i'll sum it up basically it says a company First Automotive Works (FAW) will produce this car "by a license" on the east coast of china doesnt say anything about the year its gonna be made but it does have a picture. What the article does say is that First Automotive Works (FAW) is trying to aquiere other car licenses(323, 6) to produce 150,000 mazdas a year If the 9 would be a continuation of the 929 i would buy 3 of those cars, but unfortunatly i dont think this car will ever make it to the states, or that it will be a sedan to begin with.
