if so I will pre-order it. don't care about test driving or looking it over or reviews, I must have it regardless of cost

i was wondering when mazda was gonna wake up and realize that they need a 4 door luxury sport sedan that is bigger than the 6. man i hope that it will be a car. i always thought about what a mix of the milly and the 929 would look like. if its gonna be a SUV, mazda is gay. neverthelesss, i will continue to drive my wonderfull milly.

the vehicle should be a continuation of the milly. 4 doors and larger than the 6. 250-270 horsepower, optional 6 speed manual on the S version. top-end price of 35k, meant to compete with g35, es300, 3-series, etc. mazda needs to do it right this time, so the car doesnt become a failure like the milly was. the 6 seems to be a success, so obviously mazda has done something right. if the 9 comes as i described, i will indeed buy one. rumor has it the 9 will be out in 2009, which if all goes well i will be doctor roof by then.

I don't think Mazda should get into the luxury car business.... if they want to spin off a different brand (ala Amati) that might be a do-able idea, but I don't want Mazda to become that 'jack of all trades'... it never seems to work out well.

It really didn't, at least where sales are concerned. That's why they don't make big cars anymore.

That said, I don't think there's anything stopping them from picking up where the Maxima should have gone: a new mid-size-plus rear-driver with a powerful V6 and manual or automatic transmissions. A budget BMW 5, if you will, featuring the powerful styling of the current models on a larger, more flowing scale.

That would sell like crazy, especially if priced appropriately like the Millenia was.

Planned mods: Sports brakes, new exhaust, 18-inch OZ rims, factory fog lamps, short-shift kit

I am definitely not a "one-monther."

that is what the millenia was, but it didnt sell very well. mazda would have to make the vehicle much better than the millenia, but keep the pricing about the same
