Danish's Newspaper Controversy

I think the reaction by these muslim people is out of proportion. For those who don't know, a Danish newspaper published a cartoon of Propher Muhammed wearing a bomb on his head. This angered a lot of muslim countries and they went and boycotted all Danish products from their imports...

But now...they're going everywhere and burning EUROPEAN consulates and embassies all over their countries, most of them are Danish, Norweigan and German.

I don't know what this will lead to but it'll certainly bring some big consequences.

My family is Muslim.... and I still don't get the big controversy. I know it's not good in the eyes of Muslims to make pictures of Muhammad, which is why Muslim artwork is all abstract stuff and not people. However, it's just funny to me that for people voicing their opinion about a person who was by their standards, a good, humble, peaceful, rationale, and calm person... they go and burn down buildings and go crazy.

What's the point of defending Prophet Muhammed with methods that Prophet Muhammed would himself dissaprove of?

Now I heard they're burning consulates and embassies all over the middle east BUT WITH PEOPLE INSIDE. Attacking these is like attacking the country itself, and it will bring some serious consequences.

see heres the problem I have with it, I'm aware he is not suppose to be pictured or even depicted, not sure why but whatever, the bomb on the head, well if that borther them they should stop blowing **** up, especially by suicide bombers, I mean come on people, the rest of the world uses snipers, a bullet and a gun you can keep using is alot cheaper then a bomb and wasting all that money retraining and brainwashing someone over and over.

I think its really sad everything thinks there HAS to be news, ok it happened people were upset, great, moving on then. But no, we have like 12 news channels going 24/7 on anything they can get there hands on, and when there is no news, they create it.

I remember something like this happened about 10 years ago in d.c they were building something and 1 of the artist had sculped or engraved Muhammed, people complained, there were nice enough to respect there wishes even after spending millions of dollars and really not having to do anything, but they went back and rubbed the headoff to make it look as a vail was over his head. this lasted like 3 days, and then nothing.

Well, they supposedly want to kill more than 1 person when they do this. It isn't only 1 guy strapped with bombs but there have been cases of people riding inside trucks filled with dynamite and they have taken hundreds of lives in one attempt.

Then they brain wash them saying that when they die doing this, they will go to heaven and have a bunch of virgins for them. This is bullshit though because Islam doesn't really mention any of this in the Qu'ran.

But whatever...now that they have done this, like Jet said, they have only confirmed what the cartoon's message was.

which is why I bought in brainwashing, I have not read it, but of course I believe religion is nothing but controlled dementia drapped over the minds of the weak and insecure, that aside something like 90% of what there fighting for isn't even mentioned. I mean from what I have heard, islam is basically suppose to a be the practice of peace, and I sure as **** don't remember any virgins (which do not exist, but again another matter)

not misunderstood, a lack of free thinking on the minds of those so insecure that they cannot even except there own championships over advereries, nor take responsibliy for the actions they wish to take but must say something eles made them do it. Religion, all religion is nothing but dementia over quite frankly, CHILDREN, children who don't know any better, who always want to blame someone or something eles.

I must say the Christians seem to cope with criticism a little better, but I stand firm that the world's 3 most violent religions must be disbanded as a high priority. Inevitably this means war.
