...the dealership kept telling me that there were dents or something in them that might be causing a bumpy ride and I did feel a little shake at 45+, but I just replaced my wheels and tires with some inch-smaller steels and goodyears and I still felt a little shake at 45-50, so maybe they were lying, I dunno. The tire place asked me if I wanted to keep them, and I figured maybe someone would want them, even if they do need repair.
(By the way, the dealership made me replace the steels I bought because the center hole wasn't the right size, and there was STILL a vibration, so they said, "maybe it's an engine mount." REALLY? An engine mount? Causing a vibration that clearly changes with the speed? Maybe it's time to find a new mechanic, since you dragged this out long enough that my warranty is over, now.)
I didn't take any pictures of the tread left on the wheels because they look awful, almost bald on a couple edges.
So, they might be dented and they've got some "curb bites" but if anyone's interested in them, lemme know. I have no idea what they're worth... If no one here is interested, how much should I ask on craigslist? I'm in Chicagoland, is it a huge pain in the ass to ship wheels?
