cooling fan issue

The cooloing fan on the driver side has begun to turn on and off periodically. The temp is normal, coolant is normal and new. Had the wife turn the car on (engine was cold) cooling fan automatically engaged, shut off and fan was still on. Turn key on and fan shuts off, turn key off fan turns on. I did notice what looks like a control module above fan, when car was shut off module made some noises and clicks. This never happened before. Could module be going bad?

Try replacing the cooling fan sensor, my buddy ran into this problem w/ his CX and it was solved when he replaced the sensor.
