Let talk Mazda CX-7 Customization!

I'd like to hear what people have done to customize their CX-7!

I recently bought my new CX-7 in January 2011 and already installed a sound system (2 12' JL subs) and blacked out my tail-lights to just under illegal .

My new endeavor is HID lights and would like some input. So apparently (2011 CX-7 manual) my car takes 55watt H7 bulbs or whatever. I am hoping to go blue/white or blue color to the HID. I heard to keep it around/under 8000K (idk what measurement K is). And others have told me even 10 to 12K is fine and not illegal so i'm confused about that.

I did an eBay and google search for HID lights since no one sells them in my area and I am not sure what to look for. I mean I know 55watt and H7 but thats about it. As far as brand or quality IDK! Do you have any knowledge about this? Maybe you have done it with your CX-7 or just know about HID lights. Well either way please give me some suggestions because I am lost.

That is all I have done to my CX-7 so far and plan on doing relatively soon (HID lights). Next might be rims.

I'm interested to see what else people have done and so if you have done something or can help me please share. Pics are always cool.

If you want visibility 5K is best, 6K will give you a slight blueish tint. Anything above that is for show and is useless. 8K is blue, anything higher goes to purple and looks ricerish in my opinion. H&R makes springs and suspension stuff for it. Corksport, and I think even Protege Garage will have parts, just look around for Mazda performance parts and I'm sure you'll find something.
