1993 Protegé DX Automatic

Hi there everyone,

I'm hoping someone can help me find out whats wrong with my Mazda's interior heating.

Here goes...

When you drive, the temperature gauge needle doesn't register and the air through the vents blows cold but when you stop for lights, stop sign etc. the heating then kicks in and the needle rises. As soon as you drive again, the needle slowly drops and the hot air turns cool.

Just to make things more interesting, it only starts doing the above if the outside temp. is -10c or below.

Does anyone know what could be causing this...I'd be appreciative of any advice.

Many many many thanks in advance

Abby

Sounds like the thermostat is stuck open. Easy fix and the part is only around $10-15.
