and finally, a engine with nice oil in it.


i am getting the cut on Saturday so no doubt ill have some more information then.

what month is your luce??? and the half cut????

im just looking at injectors..... your car engine has yellow tops (so does mine), the half cut has pink tops (seen them on the JEs as well)

so far ive seen
yellow (jf)
pink (jf/je)
blue (je)

now what could possibly be the difference between them.... hhhhmmmm.....

its funny you should say that because i noticed the same thing.
the 1/2 cut is a 90 model.
my JEZE has the pink tops as well, that motor is from a 91 royal classic, so ive got a feeling the pink injectors are later model ones.
the car is a 89 model.. ill have to get the month tomorrow.

how can you get that turbo on an 89 929 SOHC since it's the same motor

different flow rates to what the engine it feeds needs from factory.

my HC has red tops (they are the series 5 FC (90-92) rx7 version injectors) cant remember the flow rate atm


if ive read rightly be careful putting different colour injector (later ones) into an earlier car or vise versa.
get an ohm reading of the injector and find out the flow rates.

as different ohmage from factory can take out a factory ecu.
different flow rate while using factory ecu will play with afr's and the ecu will play up trying to pull the mixtures into alignment.

S5 injectors are 550cc AFAIK, Sim. S4 ones are 500cc. S4 are lo-impedance, S5 are hi-impedance....I got a set of 800cc Power Enterprise lo impedance squirters if you need em Sim.

a place called Import Garage here in Adelaide.

they have quite a few HC parts and some HD parts there.
when i was there last there were 3 mint HC Luce's there which were customers cars and 3 half cuts.
