.

hey found out last year with my engines.

about the jft and je engines you guys talked about few years ago and no they are not the same block heads etc. il tell you whats the differences

2ltr jft block: bore diameter are around 74-75mm
3ltr je Block: bore diameter are 90mm in diameter

jft and je heads are very different and dont try bolting jft heads on je block or what ever etc cause the holes for water passages, oil passages r different. if u dont believe me u can compare your 2ltr and 3ltr head gaskets to prove.

2ltr cylinder heads intake ports and intake manifolds got the holes on bottom of ports act like a air bypass when the vacuum controlled throttles shuts.

3ltr cylinder heads intake ports are the same sizes but no holes on bottom of intake ports acts like a bypass like 2ltr turbo heads have. both engines are very different. i do have both 2ltr and 3ltr engine blocks sitting waiting for head gaskets replacement and i can notice lot differences thats all. any qs jus ask cause i have some experiences with them now. i will tell you 2ltr and 3ltr r very good reliable motors just tired and needs rebuild if they are high ks. my 3ltr that have low ks are the best and bullet proof takes lots of skid abuse and boost with plus turbo kit. just needs head gaskets replacing now

.

and also 2ltr head gaskets are thin plastic about 0.8mm thick and 3ltr head gaskets are 1.2mm thick steel ones and they heavier.

and with pistons: 2ltr pistons have deep dish ones to lower the comp and 3ltr pistons are flat with abit of dome for valve clearance. 3ltr are high compression engines and yes i did put turbo on it too haha lots of punch. it is stupid manufactures make so restrictive manifolds on these engines wonder why the hp are so low??
