Dont believe the hype .yes you can have headers for for your 1.6DOHC.
You can adapt ford probe 2.0L headers to your 1.6dohc.
I have added some pics to my cardomain site on how I am converting 2.0L probe header to fit 1.6DOHC engines.

if you got the money see if you can transplant either a honda B16 or B18 engine into your car! sounds crazy and all, but these two particular U.S spec engines are sweet out the box and can be upgraged to yield serious power!

I have had, an worked on honda engines ,Thats why I have a Mazda now!
The mazda B6, BP series engines are rock solid an reliable engines with tons of power potental. For example the mazda B6dohc engine was orginaly built in japan for WRC racing and is a turbo engine, The turbo was removed when it was sold in cars for the north american market.

hey guys i found legit headers for the mx3 check out corksport.com they have headers for the 1.6 they are about 250.00 and they are blue no carb # but if you dont have to worry about smog laws get some
