There should be a small cylinder (pin) that comes off the end of the line (bung), that pin has a 90* bend in it and that sits in a hole in the caliper. It's just there to prevent the line from spinning on the caliper. It really shouldn't make a difference, but if you're really worried, have a little rod welded onto the new line.

Very strange but none of my cars have that nipple. Perhaps another update for newer models. Never had any problems with my configuration though.
