Bigb, Great write up. I'm doing this first week of 2012. I have a musky smell which I'm sure is coming from the filter. And thanks Yel-low for the tip on the license bracket :-)

So the kick plate on the bolster just snaps out so you can get to the filter location?
Every where you look there a panel you have to remove.
