Our 2004 Mazda 3 GT Sport has only 5000 miles. We thought the squeak from the clutch peddle would have been gone by now. The noise is actually coming from the cylinder rod as it moves in and out of the gasket. I tried spraying automotive silicone grease on the rod, but no luck. The dealership did the same thing when my wife took it in for an oil change (and to fix the frong passenger side wiper blade... not working well). IT STILL SQUEAKS!!! I might try some dry graphite powder next.

There are no Technical Service Bulletins on the NHTSA web site about this problem, so I'm wondering if I'm on the only one with the noise. Anyone else have this problem? Has anyone fixed it?

Thanks -GotMass[/b]
First time I hear about that problem. I have had my mzda 3/o6 with three pedals since new and just came back home (Houston, TX) after driving to Toronto and from there to Northern California with no problems at all, just fun all the time for more than 7,000 miles! And I have photos of the speedometer doing ... should I tell it here? well just imagine that I'm grateful with no tickets. Sorry GotMass you got one of the black sheeps in every herd.
