Is it just time to replace the struts or is there something else I should try first. I'm not interested in lowering the vehicle, but am interested in getting a good ride and not spending a ton of money on it.

If you do decide to get the coilovers, you can have the car at stock height, retain a nice solid ride and be able to take corners much better.
