I have returned after a long while away, to find that MW has once again been upgraded to fancy new Invision software with more features than ever before. Many thanks to great and powerful wizard Shayaan for keeping this place on the forefront of technology.
Among these new features is a much-upgraded profile listing for members. Haven't seen it? Log into the site and, at the top of the forum, you'll see the words "Logged in as: [your name]". Click on your name there and - voila! - your member profile appears. Some of you may NEVER have looked at your profile before, which is surprising but not shocking. Check it out - there's all kinds of things you can do there: * Add a personal photo of yourself (or, for less attractive people, a larger version of your avatar) * Give other members a rating, from 1-5 stars (obviously, you can't rate yourself, except in your own mind) * Add a personal statement - espouse your scary political beliefs, demean other brands of vehicle, whatever! * Set your personal info - indicate your birthdate and age, gender status (sorry, "half-and-half" not available), and give your general location in the world * Post your interests - just like your lame MySpace page, but smaller * View your statistics - how addicted to MW are you, really? * See the contents of your last few started topics, wherever they are on the site (kinda like a mini-blog, actually) * View visitors to your profile, add or remove friends, and leave comments See? All kinds of good stuff. Take two or three minutes and update your profile - you'll feel better, I guarantee it. (Well, maybe.) Some of these things can be edited by entering your control panel as well - once again, at the top of the forum, click on "My Controls" and you'll see a whole other set of options. Duncan
