I've spotted you shayaan, or should i call you hercules. I own an audi A4 so I spend a lot of time at audiworld. I've read a lot of things you've posted, especially on the S4 B6 platform. Oddly enough, I've never noticed under your posts, untill today that it says web master of Mazdaworld.org as your signature under all your posts. Anyway, its nice to see people that arnet completely brand loyalist and have an intrest in other cars.

Hercules? Shayaan, you must be a strong, muscular guy! I too could never be a one brand loyalist. Down the road, if I ever get into a accident and total the car, I would look at other brands besides Mazda. I would very much like to get my hands on sport luxury cars from Acura, BMW, Nissan, and Lexus. Oh yeah, I forgot. Audi too. ^_^ I went through 7 cars so far in my life and I came to a conclusion that I would stick with imported cars. Quality and reliablility is their hallmark. But I do kinda miss the 96 Stang Cobra a little.

Yep, I love the Audi build quality and interior, though I don't like their Quattro system, it's something that I could do without.

Give Audi a good RWD platform, a good balance (right now they run like 60/40 because of Quattro), and severe weightloss, and I could consider them.

But right now, it's just like paying for the name and for me it's not going to cut it. I need a car that's more tossable than an Audi though I do have a place in my heart for it

I too wish audi had an rwd platform, but they don't and probably never will. I love my 02' Audi A4 though. The quattro system really kicks serous A$$ in the snow and ice. I live in central oregon and we get a lot of nasty weather so for me its great. Plus, i got the 1.8T with the sport package, and added a neuspeed short shift kit and the neuspeed P-chip which added about 30 hp. So regaurdless of the fact that it is awd the car is killer fast.

Fast really means nothing to me.

If I feel it's fast, then it's fast. A chipped 1.8T is probably fast enough for me. What I look for is agility and handling, neither of which the Audi can deliver on. They are very very heavy cars, with an awkward weight balance that regardless of how 'hard' it can be thrown into a corner, the steering response and jaggedness of the weight let it suffer a driving experience I personally don't enjoy.
