in reference to my college debt

yes, ski, i know allllll about sudent loans and grants and all that crap..

my tuition was $11.500 this semester, and the financial AIDS office only paid $3.200 of it. $2.000 was this stupid KABB grant and the $1.200 was the Stafford. Which leaves me screwed with $8.129 to pay out of pocket. I love how they say to "bring payment in full immedaitely"

and yes BHR i can go to community college but there's $3.924 pissed away for 6 hours of religious studies classes that won't transfer, possibly more because of the crapass philosophy and music education classes that I took.

either way i'm royally ******.

I call it the financial AIDS office because with UIW, you have it for life and it tries to kill you slowly.... just like..w ell.. nevermind

i keep getting letters like "a recent review of your account indicates that your fall 2004 tuition has not been paid in full... it is imperative that you meet your financial obligation to the .. bla bla bla..." so i'm going to write one to that ***** that keeps sending them, saying "Dear Ms. Beasley, a recent review of my bank account indicates that the amount owed for Fall 2004 cannot be paid in full by Jan 7th, unless you want to co-sign on a loan with me. It is imperative that you attempt to work with me on this issue so that both of us can be satisfied..." :P

How did you pay for your tuition last semester? OR you never did? Seems like they would have dropped you from your classes or put a stop on you from registering or something if you owed them money before the fall semester even got half way over with.

Before the school year starts the financial aid office sends out a contract that tells me how much financial aid I will be recieving per Fall/Spring semester. I have the option of selecting which ones I want to accept (i.e if I don't want to accept a loan etc) then I have to sign it and turn it in before those funds will be added to my account.

I got a letter from the financial aid office today saying that they took away my financial aid! Which doesn't make sense whatsoever being that my GPA was not bad. They took it away because I withdrew from 2 classes, but I did it before the deadline of it showing on your transcript. So on my transcript I have no W's, yet they took away my financial aid! I swear UK is the cheapest school, they talk about trying to be the top 10 school, yet they badger the students financially! This blows, you're lucky Clue for real!

all you have to do is figure out a way to screw the government. i wont go into it any further, because i am still in school . but i will say, you mission latino is similar to the one lemmiwinks made in south park. which is something you should be used to anyways.

hey I got lucky, for the first 2 years I paid out of pocket for everything, then just this year I finially got 5k for school, not much compared to the total, but a start
