Actually I'm still an Intel guy, I want an A64 3500+ but I gotta get a 939 system and of course only the 754's are cheap...If i can sell this Celeron 2.4 system for anything decent then I might get that A64 system, i'm not sure tho...I'd like to wait for dual-core CPU's even more...I've been planning to get back into true SMP, so I'm thinking I might wait for a dual Xeon or Opteron system with the dual cores.

A while ago I got a gig of memory for my main system...replaced that to 2GB now...and I've been pricing what 4GB would cost...if you can afford to, you'll prolly wanna go 2x 512 or preferably 2x 1024 sticks, so you have at least some room to upgrade...i've gotta replace RAM if i upgrade (although the 2GB would just go into the next-best system, then that gig would be handed down...etc...)

Semprons are nice for the price but i wouldn't buy one personally...AMD's are always so cheap that for the extra $50 i'd have to spend on the full-featured processor that it's still worth it...only reason i have a celeron at all is because i had enough spare parts to build a system and the only thing it will do 99% of the time is try to find a cure for cancer... enjoy your system
