j-allan: Don, how can you sleep at night knowing your car is available to drive 24/7? Very, very tasteful mods, IMO, from the signal mirrors to the hids and engine compartment, well done!
Kat_Daddy: btw, i think plat still holds the milly crown here. Don is moving into the #1 contender spot though...
Roof: Don has the makings of a good padawan.
we will have to see where this goes before i take him under my wing

indeed it is

but do you not think that you would have been perhaps better prepared to handle the loss of control if you had your full attention to your driving??? You yourself said that the "phone flew out of your hand" which implies that both of your hands were not on the steering wheel as they should have been.

yes, it is sad that you lost your car... but driving and cell phones do not mix.

and when you're on the phone while driving, don't you feel a sort of "mental drain" or like an extra load?

nah on the real tho lat most people (well everyone i know) can get a basic convo done while drivin on the phone... Where u at? what time we meetin up? etc etc etc

What happened to Don was going to happen to him regardless, whether on the phone or not. If you felt like this maybe you just should've waited. This is the last place someone wants to be criticized and reprimanded.

Show some commom courtesy lat. Don always showed you it.

I moved this from don's post in the milly section that everyone whored beyond belief. Duncan and I decided that this was a worthwhile discussion to have on the site, so we didn't delete it. Please keep it on topic and no more references to Lat's comment coming right after don't accident.

actually its funny you mention this.

in va as of jan 1st there is a new law that says anyone under 21 cannot use a cell phone while driving. I don't mean a hands free set either, I mean if there talking on the phone and moving its 150 dollar ticket.

something about the increase in accidents combined with driver inexperiance.

personally I 110% support going back to all cell phones costing 3-500 dollars and only being giving 90 mins a month, period, and after that its 1.30 a min, and those 90 mins cost you 80 dollars
