Well the Mercedes hit 82,000 miles the other day (we do shitloads of travel driving with it)... so went and test drove some SUV's in its class. Found one that took my heart rather quickly. 2005 Infiniti FX ... just the insane handling and technology included was unreal. I warmed up to it fairly quickly and decided its time to finally cut bait on the Merc.

So here is some spec's

Found one on the lot:

2004 Infiniti FX35 (AWD) Fully loaded
- 280HP VQ 3.5L V6 /w 270LB Torque (same motor/trans as 350Z)
- Front Engine / ATTESA ETS AWD
- Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) System
- Traction Control System (TCS)
- Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS)
- Snow Mode Switch (locking torque converter etc)
- Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) /w Brake Assist
- 4-Wheel Power Assisted Disc Brakes
- 4-Wheel Independent Suspension
- Front and Rear Stabilizer Bars
- Power Rack and Pinion Steering
- 23.8 Gallon Fuel Tank
- Sirius Satellite Radio
- Touring Package along with Sports Package
Heated, memory and lumbar seats
300-Watt Bose 11 speaker System
Power sunroof, Aluminum Roof Rails
Drilled Aluminum Pedals
20" Aluminum-Alloy Wheels (265/50R20)
- Technology Package
Navigation System
Intelligent Key
Intelligent Cruise Control (range laser)
Rearview Monitor
Tire Pressure Monitor
Cargo Protector
Splash Guards

Configured Price - 46, 695.00

Miles: 6200

picked it up for 37,000.00 with a 7yr 100k bumper to bumper warranty

Few pic's

Whatcha guys think? Wife's been driving the Lincoln lately, think im going to sport the FX for a bit.

nice...although i think every recent thread of yours has been of a new car (wish i could say the same for myself lol)

FX's are one of the few "SUVs" i like....although I personally still wouldn't get one...but if i were going to...that would probably be one of the final 3 choices...

j-allan: Don, how can you sleep at night knowing your car is available to drive 24/7? Very, very tasteful mods, IMO, from the signal mirrors to the hids and engine compartment, well done!
Kat_Daddy: btw, i think plat still holds the milly crown here. Don is moving into the #1 contender spot though...
Roof: Don has the makings of a good padawan.
we will have to see where this goes before i take him under my wing
