Default Audi Reliability?

Never really post in the lounge, but a quick questions. Since VW owns Audi, is the same crappy reliability spreaded across models? I was looking at the reliability ratings for the GTI/GOLF/A3 and they were the opposite of each other (VW/AUDI). What do you guys think?

What about the problems with the 3-series twin-turbo motors? lol

As far as I'm concerned, Audis are better avoided. Nice shell, shame about the internals.

Admittedly some newer A4 do well in serveys, but the A5 does NOT, and they share most internals.

I see I see. I was just wondering about that. I really like the Q7 (crossover), but I know VW and Audi do share some internals, and I know reliability isnt VW's stong point. Seems to me the best choice is to stick with Japanese branded cars. Tell me more Xedos.

My 530 is on jackstands. Say no more. Japanese is good if reliability is what you want. Want to know a secret? The KL is smoother than the Bimmer AND cruises better above 80 mph

Awesosome. Japanese cars are very reliable. Its amazing how European brands have all the prestige but not the reliability. Reminds me of one of our american branded products. Chrysler's reliability is really bad. GM, Ford have their minor issues too (what company doesn't), but they're leaps and bounds ahead of chrysler.

Definitely a more tempting lineup than Daimler Chrysler; Ferrari, Maserati, Alfa Romeo, Lancia. Oh, and Fiat Fiat have nice design, hardly state of the art internals. Good diesel engines. But the Maserati Quattroporte

It has a stake in VW Group. So I assume they share technology. But I bet Porsche's reliability is higher than VW's. IDK could be wrong. I dont see myself owning a Porsche any time soon, or ever. So I haven't checked out their reliability. I really like the 2011 Grand Cherokee. It's got some serious issues to work out first. C'mon Chrysler products...

BTW welcome to the discussion Goliat.
