Default Useful tips for diesel trucks

Prevention is better than cure

  • You should avoid the temptation to speed your truck unnecessarily while driving on steep roads like hills and mountains. You should have slow and constant speed that will decrease the probability of engine overheating.
  • In case of engine overheating do not turn off the engine immediately. Just bring it to idle position and then turn it off after few minutes.
  • Before running your truck, give it some warm up time.
  • Use engine oils of good quality. Oils are the source of smooth running of engines. If you partner your engine oil with high octane and clean fuel it will be very effective. Make sure there are no dust particles in oil.

Simple and effective measures to increase the life of your truck.

Most diesel truck break down due to poor engine maintenance. You have to make sure that you don't neglect this. Without the needed knowledge on what needs to be maintained with any diesel engine, it will be difficult for you to set a schedule for your truck's maintenance.
