NO, that would cost $100.* We are talking no name brands that no one has ever heard of.* I kid you not, check it out.* Its the funnies thing I've ever seen.* Go to Hometheater in ebay and they are all over the place.* Same with car products as well.* hey 95 milly, can you be more specific about this dvd player?* Is it in dash style with fold out screen?
Since when was Audiovox considered name brand?! ****, times has definatley changed!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is more than likely that a home dvd player will skip in a car. If your looking for a good car dvd player check out the Blaupunkt ME1. I use it and its great and I have never seen it skip so far. Scala1 sells them on ebay for about $120. The memory buffer is the key to no skipping. Heres the specs of the ME1.

*Plays DVD, CD, SVCD, VCD, CD-R and MP3 discs
*Full-Function Wireless IR Remote
*18 ft. remote eye and 18 ft. A/V cable
*12V DC power supply Included
*High definition MPEG2 Video
*Title/Chapter display *Play/Stop/Pause
*Chapter/Title repeat * 4 Angles *Zoom
*Subtitle MP3: *OSD 8 digit display
*NTSC/PAL/AUTO *4:3 normal view
*4:3 panoramic view *16:9 view
*Composite A/V RCA Output
*Spring/damper suspension
*10 second memory buffer
*Freq response: 30-20,000 Hz
*6-5/8" W x 2-5/8" H x 8-1/2" D

why would you think of putting a home based DVD player into a car? Mobile equipped has been designed to operate effectively (no skipping) in a mobile enviornment.
