Is there anyone out there who has or who has seen in action a JL AUDIO 250/1 AMP? If so can you give me your thoughts on it? (POS, fair, great, etc...) or what do you think it should be running like 1 12" w08, 2 12" w08 etc.

cause you can get something much more powerful from a company other than jl, for the same price or less..... and prolly get better clarity too

I already have one. You just confirmed my suspisions though....Cuz i already have it hooked up to 2 12" w08 and it sounds like dookie. Well actually it's really clear but you can tell that the subs aren't getting pushed a quarter of what they could be.

Can anybody suggest a good amp for this?

see the only problem is that they subs are rated at 125rms each so ideally you should not push them much more... honestly I would suggest investing in an upgrade

I know but they can deffinitely handle much more. I'd rather get a better amp and take the chances of damaging the speakers cuz i probably wont get that much for the subs if i sell them.

true, good point...

I have this amp its a Rockford 500a2, it pushes about 600rms... there relatively cheap and I think it pushes them good.

its amazing sub, however its only used for speakers, not subs, atleast in high end systems. I recommend alpine as well
