I have a 2004 sport GT which I use a bit for slaloms and rallys. With a digital display, rallying has been a challenge as its lacking in accuracy. I'm getting a rally odometer (heliusdesign) for greater accuracy. My preferred installation would be to tap into the speed sensor/speedometer rather than running a sensor off of the wheels. Works by counting the pulses sent to the speedometer.
Question is this: Would anyone know the various wires and locations that the vehicle speed sensor could be tapped into? |

The wires you need to splice are in the main fuse box area. There you will find a large green connector which is disconnected by a plastic lever on it. |

If your 100% positive you have the vehicle speed sensor in hand then take the two wires going to the speed sensor and have a freind jump them over for a minute while u have the key on,, see if the dash indicates speed now,, if it does then your new speed senor is bad also,, if not then it may be a wiring issue,, check for 5vlt power to the sensor,,..
