Today at the dealer, they spent a little while trying to figure out why it's not working and came back with the conclusion that it is not possible to use the integrated iPod with the Navigation system whether you have the switching box or not. They said the switching box is ONLY to allow you to use the AUX with Sirius Sat Radio.

I swear i've read about other people with this same setup and it's working (touchscreen navigation, moonroof/bose, ipod switching box, ipod integration module). TIme for some research i guess...

I could take a picture of the setup, but there is nothing to see. I guess the switching box is behind the radio somewhere. When i open the glove box there is a different panel in the back of it, with a little hole where the integration module cable comes through (the integration module plugs into the iPod). Aside from that, i removed the panel and looked around and saw nothing in particular.

Paul -

You seem to be the only lucky person that got the switchbox to work with Navigation, Sirius and Bose/Moonroof. Do you gleen any information from your dealership about why so many people are having problems? Any tips or tricks that you can offer?

Thank you.

The switch box does work.
My dealer said the same thing," It won't work".
I told them to try it anyway and it does work. I've been listening to my iPod for sever weeks now.[/b]

We got ours working this weekend. Took some persistence convincing the dealer to simply read the Sirius install instructions a bit better, but in the end everything is working. We have Navigation, Sirius, and Aux port all working (the mazda switchbox was necessary). We do not have the ipod integration kit, and just use our ipod through the Aux port. Here's a link to more info on the process:
