Hi there, everyone!

Im new to the Mazda scene but so far am impressed with my new purchase.
A jap import MX6 1994, it got a 2.5 V6 with an auto box.

Ive been doing some bits and bobs and maintence stuff and struggling for parts, as when I order something it never seems to be the right part they have or a get delivered, fun of the imports I guess.
One thing that it puzzleing me though is my fog lights.

Unlike the US and canadian and UK models the fog lights are in the low bumber with the indicators with no front access, anyone know how to chage the bulbs in these as the is no room at the back, 3 bolts attaching it to a braket and 3 bolts attaching that to the chassis, and the funny thing you can only access 2 of each set! It is sort of driving me mad so any advice???? ?

The other thing with the lights is the headlights? I bought a headlight kit whihc said it was for the MX6 4 H1's and 2 501 sidelights.
They came I went to fit them the side lights went in the full beams went in but the low beam headlight had 2 spades on it and said H3 - only thing I thought H3 were for fogs and had a wire coming off it so totally confused me??? Anyidea on this one???

Thanks

Si

I guess you need one 9004 for one headlight. So two in total. Fogs are H3.

When you order from mazda they sent the original part, shouldnt be any mistake. One of the cheapest online dealer:

H3 bulbs got more of a foothold in other markets because US regulations didn't allow free-form headlamps until the mid 1980s. H3s have been around since the mid 1960s but weren't legal for use as low-beam lamps in the US until the mid 1990s if you can believe. 9004/9005/9006 bulbs weren't even developed until the mid 1980s for use in the US with the newly allowed free-form lamps which made their first appearence on the Lincoln Mark VII in 1984 and the Ford Taurus in 1986. Basically, different markets, different bulbs. You won't find JDM cars using 9xxx bulbs either.
