light got aircon knob and air direction control not turning on

Hello,
i replace the original Head uni by a new one.. a SONY one. i did cut the wires from the original plug to connect to the new Sony one.

The problem is that now the light where the Aircon temperature control knob and the knob to control the direction of the air is no longer illuminated when i turn on the head light..

ANyone know why i am geting this problem please?
