2005 Mazda 6 Throttle Problem

Hello,

I tried searching the forum and couldn't find previous threads on this topic, I have a feeling it's a electronic/computer issue and was wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar.

I was driving along at around 60km/h, when the throttle stopped responding. The engine was still running, but the car was slowing down as though there was no throttle. When I slowed to a stop the car stalled. It still turns over fine when I try to start it, then dies as soon as I release the key, even with the clutch in.

I'm no car expert but I think it might be something to do with the drive by wire system. Has anyone had any similar issues?
