PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!

I recently replaced batteries in both key fobs, and now they will not work???? I was told by the Mazda dealer that i have to bring the fobs and car in to see if the ECU was still working. And then to reprogram the keyfobs at $45 each and the diagnostic test was $90. Any one know how to program key fobs when battery is replaced. I have already checked ECU and it is working
