2011 CX-9 Speaker Replacement

I have a 2011 CX-9 Touring, without the Bose system. I replaced all stock speakers with the following and are very happy with the results:

Front Doors: Infinity 6829CF 300W (Peak) 6 x 8 / 5 x 7 -Inch 2-Way Speakers (Amazon $125)

Front Dash: Polk Audio DB351 3.5-Inch Coaxial Speakers (Amazon $45)

Rear Doors: Pioneer TS-A874M 3 Way 6x8" Car Speakers (Walmart clearance $35)

The key speakers here are the front door Infinity Kappas - these were highly recommended and the Amazon reviews were great. They provide a very good amount of bass and sound great. You may prefer to get the 3-way version. You'll need to velcro or sticky tape the Direct-Connect crossover dongle

The front dash speakers add a full sound when combined with the front door speakers and they sound perfect together.

The rear speakers I debated getting another Infinity set, and maybe one day I will, but I keep them faded a bit lower than the front so they are just not as important to me. Any decent speakers should suffice back there if you feel the same way.

I listen to rock/metal and don't need the bass to be heard down the block or my windows to shatter. I like it loud, crisp and clear with decent bass and this setup does the job for $200 - and I did it myself. Email me if you have any questions regarding the installation.

Here is the wiring info:

Left Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): Blue/Orange
Left Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Violet
Right Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): Gray/Blue
Right Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Yellow/Green
Above same for in-dash speakers
Left Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Green
Left Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Green/White
Right Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Yellow/Black
Right Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Yellow

I'm looking to do the exact same thing to the same vehicle! Any advice or things you would change, being over three year later now? Also, did you need an amp?
