Unhappy New Member - HELP - AC/Ventilation - Lung issues : (

Hi, Everyone on the forum. I'm desperately seeking advice regarding my sister's 2013 Mazda Touring ventilation and AC system. Recently, because of being very sick, her doctor told her she needs to sell her car.

She lives in the Hawaiian Islands and bought her Mazda in 2015 - no problems with AC or ventilation. last October she went into the dealer for regular maintenance and they also suggested maintenance on her AC/Ventilation. They used Frigi-Fresh in her system. A couple months later white particles were spitting out, on her interior and she figured out she was inhaling them. They looked like ash but stick to her interior and can only be cleaned off with alcohol, not water. She got very sick and couldn't breathe and has been on medication. She has had 3 incidents now, doesn't use the AC or vents and her doctor told her she needed to get rid of her car.

She went back to the dealership and they said there wasn't any problem they noticed, but would charge her $1500 to do an exploratory.

Anyone, have any feedback, resources? I checked - no recalls by Mazda. She is still making payments on the car.

Thanks so much.
