Not in any U.S models, I don't think the 3 will have it either, so far its only offered in the u.s as an option on the rx-8

The Mazda 3 has NAV as an option for U.S. vehicles...possibly Japan, too.

Just check out the Mazda 3 forum here.

I asked Mazda about nav system for Mazda 3 for Canada, also asked about financing rates....my reply today:

"Thank you for visiting our Mazda website.

The Mazda3 (Canadian versions) will not have GPS systems as an option.

We are anticipating the arrival of this vehicle mid December at our Mazda dealerships. Financing rates have not been made available yet. They will be released around the same time as the vehicle’s arrival.

We hope to have the opportunity to serve you in the future."

Have you thought of using a PDA, either in Windows CE or Palm platform as a Nav/GPS system for your car?
This would be advantageous for yourself too...you can take it anywhere.
Just buy a bracket that would hold on to the heating/cooling vent and mount your PDA there.

I think it's a great improvise, and it's more flexible than having a factory install system where its application is limited to the vehicle itself.
