Exclamation Can Adaptive Cruise Control cause false Police Radar readings?

With my 2016 Mazda 6 GT adaptive cruise control set on 76 miles per hour, in a 70 mph section of Interstate, I got pulled by police that said their radar read my speed as 87 miles per hour. I have heard that adaptive cruise control radar may cause false readings on police radar. Is this possible? Any one else had such as issue? Looking for data to back me in court in this false charge. Also, since I'm now reluctant to use my ACC, how can I disable it, but continue to have basic cruise control? Thank you!
